Former LOONA and Loossemble member Yeojin has embarked on her journey as a solo artist with the release of her debut single album, Lv1. This album reflects her desire to showcase a more confident and empowered version of herself—one that was less visible in her previous group settings.

Launched on March 10, 2026, Lv1 signifies Yeojin’s first solo venture under MUMW Entertainment, a label she joined in January 2026. The album features three energetic tracks: the titular “Sugar Talk, ”along with two B-sides, “BTW”and “My Valentine.”Notably, “My Valentine, ”which was released as an early Valentine’s gift on February 14, generated significant fan engagement, quickly amassing over one million views on YouTube.
Transition to Solo Career
In a candid interview with Allkpop, Yeojin reflected on her transition from group dynamics to a solo career. She expressed that while being part of a collective often masked her unique attributes, going solo allows her to explore her personal artistic vision fully: “Now that I’m promoting solo, I want to showcase everything I’ve wanted to do, ” she shared.
The Significance of ‘Lv1’
Yeojin elaborated on the album title, stating that Lv1 symbolizes “Level 1, ”marking a poignant new beginning in her career. This album encapsulates her journey of reshaping her identity through music and fluctuating emotions, moving beyond her previously established image. Collaboration and Creative Process
Yeojin’s creative process was a closely knitted collaboration with the CEO of MUMW Entertainment. She disclosed that “Sugar Talk”introduces a musical style she had never previously explored. The innovative suggestion from the CEO pushed her boundaries creatively: “It was a type of song I had never attempted before, ” she recalled.

A Journey Through K-Pop
Yeojin’s path in the K-pop industry began in January 2017 when she was introduced as the fourth member in LOONA’s pre-debut “Girl of the Month”project. After LOONA officially debuted in August 2018, Yeojin continued her musical career until the group’s disbandment, later joining Loossemble in 2023 with fellow members HyunJin, ViVi, Go Won, and HyeJu.
