Unlocking the Graveyard Map in Megabonk: A Step-by-Step Guide

On December 14, Vedinad unveiled the much-anticipated Spooky update for Megabonk. This new update introduces a themed Graveyard map, a feature that fans have eagerly awaited since the game’s launch in September.

This guide aims to assist players in unlocking the Graveyard map. To do so, players will need to play as the character Calcium and confront a formidable Undead Boss, which can be found on another map within Megabonk.

Unlocking the Graveyard Map in Megabonk

To access the Graveyard map as one of the game’s newest additions, players must utilize Calcium and defeat the Undead Boss in Desert Tier 2. New players will need to complete a series of preliminary quests to unlock Calcium and the Desert Tier 2 map:

Defeat 1, 000 Skeletons to unlock Calcium
Finish Forest Tier 1 to unlock CL4NK
Complete Forest Tier 2 using CL4NK to open the Desert map
Advance through Desert Tier 1 to unlock Desert Tier 2

Locating the Undead Boss in Megabonk

Summoning and Defeating the Undead Boss in Desert Tier 2

To confront the Undead Boss and gain access to the Graveyard map, players must initiate a run in Desert Tier 2 and locate a grave on the map.

If players discover the grave but lack the strength to interact with it, it will remain indicated on their map as a white skull. This signifies a boss fight, and players can follow the white arrow to return to it later.

Starting the encounter requires players to tap the Disturb Grave button. A small ghost must first be defeated. Following this battle, another grave will appear on the map, prompting players to disturb it again to face a more powerful ghost. Players should anticipate the following mini-bosses before reaching the Undead Boss:

Ghost
Black Ghost
Purple Ghost
Red Ghost

After successfully defeating these increasingly challenging foes, players must seek out the golden statue of Calcium’s Dad, a formidable skeleton. If the Difficulty stat is not increased during the run, Calcium’s Dad will start with approximately 35.4k health at this tier.

During the battle, Calcium’s Dad will launch rocks from the ground and unleash a dangerous red laser beam. Players must dodge these attacks to conserve health. Fortunately, Calcium is one of the swiftest characters in Megabonk, making this task more manageable.

Once players conquer Calcium’s Dad, a treasure chest will drop, and the Graveyard map will then be unlocked for further exploration.
