Since the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley, players have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Cinderella. With the latest Winter Ball update, her long-awaited character is finally part of the game. To unlock Cinderella, players need to complete a specific quest known as The Pumpkin and the Princess.

Initiating The Pumpkin and the Princess Quest

To kick off the adventure, ensure you’ve downloaded and installed the Winter Ball update. Next, navigate to your mailbox, where you’ll find a letter from the Fairy Godmother. This letter will instruct you to locate a fancy shoe within the Plaza—a crucial first step in completing The Pumpkin and the Princess questline.

Finding Cinderella’s Shoe in DDV

The fancy shoe can be found in the Plaza biome, just as the Fairy Godmother indicated. If you aren’t already in the Plaza, use fast travel to reach it. Look around the staircase that leads down to the Peaceful Meadow; you’ll find the shoe nearby. For a visual aid, refer to the video embedded above. After you’ve collected the shoe, proceed to the Fairy Godmother’s house to continue your quest.

Crafting the Wish Enchantment in DDV

After discovering the shoe, the Fairy Godmother will reveal that it belonged to Cinderella. She explains that during the Forgetting, she hid Cinderella away for her safety. To reunite Cinderella with the Valley, you’ll need to find a mysterious pumpkin, which can only be grown after crafting the Wish Enchantment.

To successfully craft the Wish Enchantment, gather the following materials:

1 x Orange Nasturtium (typically found on the ground in Forgotten Lands)
5 x Ginger (grows abundantly throughout Forgotten Lands)
5 x Gooseberries (harvestable from bushes in Forgotten Lands)
1 x Diamond (mined from rock formations in Forgotten Lands)

Once you’ve gathered the necessary items, head to any crafting station and access the Potion & Enchantment tab to create the Wish Enchantment. Don’t forget to use it from your inventory before returning to the Fairy Godmother.

Planting the Small Spell Pumpkin in DVV

After enchanting your Watering Can, the Fairy Godmother will provide you with a Spell Pumpkin for planting. Simply bury it in the ground and water it, then wait approximately 15 minutes for growth.

Once the pumpkin matures, harvest it, but it will mysteriously vanish shortly afterward. To progress, visit Remy’s Restaurant, as he mistakenly seized the pumpkin believing it to be an ingredient. Retrieve the Spell Pumpkin, then head back to the Fairy Godmother.

The Fairy Godmother will confirm that you now have the Spell Pumpkin ready, allowing you to finally welcome Cinderella to your valley. Place her house wherever you prefer, and set up some furniture and the pumpkin near the Wishing Well in the Plaza. Lastly, interact with the pumpkin to officially unlock Cinderella as a villager.
