TCL CSOT to Introduce Dual-Mode Monitor Featuring 4X Refresh Rate Switching Up to 640 Hz

In a significant development within the display technology sector, TCL CSOT, one of China’s leading manufacturers, is gearing up to launch an innovative dual-mode monitor that promises to revolutionize refresh rates.

TCL CSOT Set to Launch Advanced Dual-Mode Monitor with Quadruple Refresh Rate

According to a report by IT Home, TCL CSOT is developing a groundbreaking dual-mode monitor that will elevate refresh rate capabilities well beyond those seen in traditional models. Where typical dual-mode monitors are limited to doubling refresh rates, TCL’s upcoming model will purportedly quadruple it.

This revolutionary monitor is expected to support refresh rates ranging from 160 Hz to an astonishing 640 Hz. Unlike standard dual-mode monitors that achieve a maximum of 320 Hz after switching from a high-resolution 160 Hz mode, TCL CSOT aims to deliver a substantial leap in performance. It is anticipated that the monitor will feature a resolution of 4K at 160 Hz, seamlessly switching to a remarkable 1080p@640Hz.

In a similar vein, HKC recently unveiled a competing model, featuring a dual-mode configuration capable of running at 200 Hz in 4K and an impressive 800 Hz in Full HD. Additionally, ASUS has also introduced monitors that provide 3X and 4X refresh rate switching options. However, specific details regarding the full specifications, pricing, and availability of TCL CSOT’s new monitor remain scarce.

While it is uncertain whether TCL CSOT will opt for an IPS or OLED panel, the company is well-regarded for its expertise in OLED technology, suggesting that an OLED variant could be on the horizon. Meanwhile, the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG Gen 2 utilizes an IPS panel with its 3X refresh rate switching, indicating that TCL might follow suit with a similar setup. We will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as more information becomes available regarding this exciting product launch.
