Rebel Wolves Reveals System Requirements for The Blood of Dawnwalker

During the recent Road to Launch event, developer Rebel Wolves presented the eagerly awaited system specifications for their inaugural title, the fantasy open-world action RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. The specifications indicate notable demands on hardware, particularly highlighting the necessity for the GeForce RTX 5090, recognized as the most powerful graphics card currently available, for playing the game at 4K resolution with a smooth 60 frames per second using the Ultra preset.

Importantly, the team clarified that these performance metrics were derived without factoring in upcoming technologies like upscalers and frame generation, including options such as NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. This opens up the possibility for players to achieve enhanced performance even with less formidable graphics cards, provided they leverage these modern tools effectively.

  • Performance requirements mentioned are based on native configurations with no upscalers or frame generation. However, the game will support various upscalers like DLSS and FSR to enhance performance significantly.
  • The specified VRAM is applicable universally across all GPU models, meaning alternate graphics cards capable of meeting the VRAM prerequisites may also be used.

It’s worth noting that The Blood of Dawnwalker operates on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, similar to the forthcoming The Witcher IV. As of this announcement, details regarding specific technical enhancements, including ray tracing capabilities, remain undisclosed. Further updates regarding console versions are expected as the launch date approaches, scheduled for September 3, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X platforms.
