Exciting Developments in Rainbow Six Siege: Year 11 Unveiled

During the exhilarating weekend of the Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitationals tournament held in Paris, Ubisoft made a significant announcement regarding Year 11 of the game. Kicking off with Season 1: Operation Silent Hunt, which is set to launch on March 3, 2026, the upcoming season will feature the legendary stealth operative: Solid Snake from the renowned Metal Gear Solid series.

A Groundbreaking Collaboration

This collaboration between Konami and Ubisoft brings together two of the gaming world’s most iconic stealth characters, Solid Snake and Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell franchise. Players can witness this unique crossover in the newly released Solid Snake reveal trailer, which features David Hayter reprising his iconic role as Snake. You can view the trailer below:

New Game Modes and Features

Incorporating Solid Snake into the game introduces an exciting new infiltration mode to the Rainbow Six experience. This 4v4 event allows players to team up with Snake and Fisher as they lead a squad of operatives in a mission to recover stolen data. Compounding the excitement, Snake will bring his signature Tactical.45 pistol equipped with an integrated suppressor into the game’s armory.

Creative Vision and Exclusive Content

“We’re thrilled to include the world of Metal Gear Solid in Rainbow Six Siege with this new Redacted event—a limited-time 4v4 infiltration mode where Snake and Zero spearhead the operation to reclaim stolen intel, ” expressed Joshua Mills, the new creative director for Rainbow Six Siege, following Alex Karpazis‘ departure within Ubisoft.

Mills added that players can also look forward to exclusive skins, such as Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl.“Additionally, we have crafted ‘Last Assignment, ’ a special mission tailored for Dual Front to honor long-time Metal Gear Solid fans, ” he noted.

Upcoming Changes and Features

Year 11’s Season 1 marks the final season featuring the Dual Front mode, which will be removed at the onset of Season 2. However, players can anticipate a new rhythm of updates, including the delivery of four balancing updates and two Ranked map rotations each season.

Moreover, Season 1 will introduce a thrilling new limited-time mode (LTM).This arcade-style one-on-one duel presents players with a chance to challenge themselves against friends or compete against others online.“This fast-paced duel mode strips Siege to its fundamentals, allowing players to showcase their mechanical skills, ” highlights Ubisoft in a recent press release.
