OpenAI Unveils “Sweetpea”Earbuds Featuring Samsung’s 2nm Exynos Chip
Recent reports from Taiwan disclose that OpenAI is developing its AI-integrated earbuds, codenamed “Sweetpea.”While specifics are limited, the earbuds are expected to utilize cloud-based AI processing extensively, pairing this with a 2nm Samsung Exynos chip to manage some tasks locally.
However, details on which Exynos variant the Sweetpea will utilize remain unclear. It’s worth noting that Samsung’s next-generation Exynos 2600, scheduled for release alongside the Galaxy S26 series, will utilize the advanced 2nm (SF2) GAA process.
Moreover, there’s anticipation surrounding the subsequent Exynos 2700, which is expected to feature the SF2P process, incorporating ARM C2 cores, enhanced thermal management, LPDDR6 memory, and UFS 5.0 technology.
In addition to the earbuds, OpenAI is also perfecting another consumer product known internally as “Gumdrop.”This device, characterized by its pen-like shape and similar size to the Apple iPod Shuffle, will function without a dedicated display. Here are some key features:
