Former members of OnlyOneOf, KB, JISUNG, and NINE have embarked on an exciting new journey as they rebrand themselves as QQQ. Their debut mini-album, titled QtoresQ, was officially launched on February 26, 2026, heralding a fresh chapter in their artistic careers as a self-governed trio.
Formation and Identity of QQQ
The group’s name, QQQ, signifies a continuation of the essence of their original band. According to KB, their prior group’s acronym, OnlyOneOf, was represented as O. O.O. Notably, from a specific visual perspective, it bears resemblance to QQQ.
QQQ’s formation followed the end of their contract with 8D Entertainment in October 2025, with the announcement made on December 21, 2025. The regrouping signifies a reunion of JISUNG, who had been known as Love, after his departure from OnlyOneOf in 2021, reuniting with his former colleagues KB and NINE, as highlighted by Music Mundial.
The Concept Behind ‘QtoresQ’
The title of their inaugural mini-album, QtoresQ, pronounced “Q to rescue, ”encapsulates the members’ commitment to being a source of solace during challenging times. The letter “Q”symbolizes not just the trio but also extends to their fans and anyone undergoing hardships, reinforcing the message of mutual support.
This four-track collection includes songs such as “UNCOOL, ””QtoresQ, ””Rainbow shade, ”and “Burnaway (into the fire).”The project serves as a heartfelt beacon, encouraging fans to discover hope and solidarity amidst struggles, as reported by KpopWise.
Embracing Independence and Creativity
QQQ has taken a proactive role in crafting their art, with each member actively involved in every facet of the album’s production. This included not only the music itself but also the conceptual framework, music videos, cover art, and social media promotions.
KB remarked on the challenges of navigating the production process independently, without the guidance of a management company. This autonomy required the trio to harmonize their diverse artistic visions through detailed discussions.
In contrast, JISUNG pointed out that this independence afforded them complete ownership over their work, enabling them to communicate their intended message with clarity.
NINE expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate again as a trio and celebrated JISUNG’s return following his hiatus, as noted by Allkpop.
