Recent updates from NVIDIA regarding their GPU driver have indicated improvements in performance for gamers encountering issues with the newly released Resident Evil title.
NVIDIA Driver Update: Improved Performance in Resident Evil Requiem
NVIDIA’s previous driver, Game Ready Driver 591.86, launched at the end of January, was linked to various player concerns surrounding the performance of Resident Evil Requiem. Notably, users experienced significant frame rate drops and even crashes, particularly among those using the GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards.
In an attempt to resolve these issues, NVIDIA released Game Ready Driver 595.59, but this version compounded the problems by introducing several critical bugs, including unexpected black screens and system freezes, especially for RTX 50 series users. Responding swiftly, NVIDIA retracted this driver and launched the revised version, 595.71, which has reportedly addressed many of the performance hindrances.

Despite these improvements, some gamers expressed concerns about performance issues still persisting in Resident Evil Requiem, as the release notes did not specify fixes for these problems. However, Sean Pelletier, NVIDIA’s Director of Game Ready Technology, confirmed that an Over-The-Air (OTA) profile update for the game was indeed included in the Game Ready Driver 595.71, specifically targeting performance enhancements.

For users who do not observe any performance improvements after updating their drivers, NVIDIA recommends performing a system reboot to ensure the changes take effect effectively.
