After the cancellation of one planned showcase, Nintendo has introduced an exciting new event for fans. The Nintendo Indie World Showcase Direct is set for March 3, 2026, at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BT. This event promises to be a highlight for indie game enthusiasts.

The showcase is expected to run for approximately 15 minutes and will feature the latest updates on indie titles launching for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Notably, this marks the first Indie World event since the previous showcase on August 7, 2025.

Anticipated Game Announcements

During the last showcase, fans were informed that there would be no updates on Hollow Knight: Silksong, as its release date remained unconfirmed. However, with the game now available on multiple platforms, new Silksong-related announcements are expected. Developer Team Cherry previously revealed plans for a DLC expansion, Sea of Sorrows, slated for release in 2026. Many hope to see an official release date revealed during the showcase.

Furthermore, beloved indie title Megabonk, which gained popularity in 2025, might also have DLC updates to share. Game enthusiasts are eager to learn about the potential release date for another highly anticipated Indie game, Mewgenics, as it prepares for its console debut on the Switch series. Other possible highlights include news regarding Deltarune, Super Meat Boy 3D, and Vampire Crawlers.
