MSI MAG 345CQRF E20: A New Era for Entry-Level Monitors

Following the launch of its premium MPG 341CQR X36 UWQHD gaming monitor—equipped with a cutting-edge 5th Gen Samsung panel and an impressive V-Stripe RGB pixel layout at over $1100—MSI is now catering to more budget-conscious gamers with the MAG series, which has welcomed the MAG 345CQRF E20.

The MAG 345CQRF E20 is specifically designed for the Asian Pacific markets and boasts impressive specifications that enhance the gaming experience. This model features a 34-inch display with a 1000R curvature for optimal viewing angles, providing a maximum resolution of 3440×1440. Notably, it has upgraded its refresh rate to 200Hz—a 20Hz increase from its predecessor—while utilizing a VA panel that achieves a maximum brightness of 300 nits.

With a range of advanced technologies, this monitor supports 110% sRGB color coverage and provides a swift 0.5ms GTG response time. Adaptive-sync support and standard HDR capabilities are also included, making this monitor well-suited for both casual and competitive gamers. Connectivity options feature HDMI 2.0b and DP 1.4a ports, complemented by a headphone jack for user convenience. Additionally, ergonomic adjustments allow for 0-100mm height modification, a 30-degree swivel, and a 5-20 degree pivot, ensuring comfort during long gaming sessions.

In terms of pricing, the MSI MAG 345CQRF E20 is anticipated to retail at approximately 1599 RMB, translating to around $230 in the US market. Given the marginally inflated prices in China, it is reasonable to speculate that the final US price could settle around $200. This price point represents excellent value for a gaming monitor offering both a 200Hz refresh rate and a 34-inch UWQHD display. Should MSI expand its distribution of this monitor beyond the APAC region, it could become a highly attractive option for entry-level gamers worldwide.
