Recent leaks have revealed that Lenovo is set to introduce a new range of laptops powered by NVIDIA’s cutting-edge N1 and N1X chips, marking the company’s debut in the Windows on Arm gaming segment.

NVIDIA’s latest Arm-based System on Chip (SoC) solutions are anticipated to launch this year, and they promise to disrupt the notebook marketplace significantly. The integration of energy-efficient Arm processors with Blackwell-based graphics in these chips positions them as formidable contenders for smooth gaming experiences on laptops, making them the pioneers of genuine Windows on Arm gaming use.

Traditionally, ARM chips have struggled with modern gaming due to insufficient graphical processing capabilities. However, the upcoming N1 series is shifting this narrative. Lenovo’s forthcoming models employ a distinct naming scheme that differentiates them from laptops powered by AMD, Intel, or Qualcomm processors. Notably, the initial letter post-screen size has been replaced with “N, ”signifying the inclusion of NVIDIA technology. The company has strategically positioned six different laptop configurations within its Ideapad, Yoga, and Legion lines, catering to a variety of performance and price preferences.

The Ideapad Slim and Yoga Pro series are expected to feature the N1 chip, which is comparatively less powerful than the N1X, yet aims to deliver exceptional efficiency and extended battery life. While specific details remain scarce regarding the N1 chip’s specifications, the N1X variant is generating excitement due to its advanced processing capabilities. Notably, the two models integrating the N1X superchip are equipped with 10 Cortex-X925 and 10 Cortex-A725 Arm cores, in addition to the highly capable Blackwell GPU, which boasts 6144 CUDA cores.
