Intel Set to Release Arc Pro B70 GPU Featuring BMG-G31 Chip Soon

As anticipation builds for Intel’s upcoming Professional variant, questions remain about the status of the Consumer variant. Let’s explore what we know so far.

Intel Set to Launch Arc Pro B70 Featuring BMG-G31 Die with 32 GB VRAM

The BMG-G31 die is gearing up for deployment in the latest Battlemage GPU lineup. However, it appears that these new components may not yet be aimed at consumers. Earlier leaks indicated the presence of the GPU die across both Professional and Consumer segments. Reportedly, Intel plans to release three professional models alongside a consumer-focused variant.

Recently, leaker @Jaykihn0 revealed via Twitter that the Arc Pro B70 will be launched “soon.”This model will adopt the long-rumored Xe2-based Battlemage BMG-G31 die, which has been the subject of multiple leaks. Despite this, Intel remains tight-lipped regarding an official launch timeline for the Arc B770, leading to ongoing speculation about the GPU’s release.

Tweet exchange about the memory configuration of the new graphics card.

If the reports are accurate, the Arc Pro B70 will be the first to feature the larger G31 chip, anticipated to house 32 Xe2 cores, translating to 4096 shaders. This upcoming GPU is expected to offer 32 GB of memory, paired with a robust 256-bit memory bus. In comparison, the existing Battlemage GPU, the Arc Pro B60, supports 24 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Thus, the enhanced memory capacity of the Pro B70 could provide significant advantages for demanding workloads, potentially offering a cost-effective alternative to the RTX 5090 in certain applications.

On the other hand, speculation surrounding the consumer variant, known as the Arc B770, suggests it could be equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, consistent with recent findings. Regarding power consumption, initial estimates indicate that the Pro B70 could operate at approximately 300 watts; however, further details will be required for confirmation in the future.
