The flagship Battlemage discrete GPU from Intel seems to have an uncertain future regarding its official launch
Intel’s Upcoming GPU Releases: Pro B70 Workstation vs. Uncertain Arc B770 Consumer Variant
Recent insights from renowned leaker @SquashBionic suggest that Intel may be postponing the launch of its flagship Arc Battlemage consumer GPU due to financial challenges. Despite exhibiting superior performance and value compared to their predecessors, the Arc B570 and Arc B580 struggled to capture the gaming market’s interest. Given this underwhelming performance, Intel appears hesitant about proceeding with the Arc B770, which was intended to compete in the lower mid-range GPU segment.
Not financially viable, I don’t think it’s going to launch anytime soon (if at all)

There have been numerous leaks regarding the Arc B770, yet Intel has remained silent about its release. While it’s known that the BMG-G31 die exists, the fate of the gaming GPU it supports is still uncertain. According to @SquashBionic, the financial impracticality of the Arc B770 could lead Intel to scrap the project. In contrast, there seems to be a more optimistic outlook for the professional variants, with launches on the horizon.
The upcoming Arc Pro B70 represents one of these professional GPUs. Utilizing the BMG-G31 die, it boasts 32 Xe2 cores and 32 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Additionally, the Arc Pro B65 is another variant likely to be part of this professional lineup, with speculation about further Pro models in development. Previous reports indicate that the BMG-G31 aims to support three workstation GPUs in addition to a consumer version.
Pro B70 is this quarter, probably alongside the ARL-R announcement

Current reports suggest that the Pro B70 is expected to launch this quarter, with additional confirmations from other credible leakers. There’s speculation that its release may coincide with the Arrow Lake Refresh announcement. As a result, we could see the Arc Pro B709 arriving in the near future.
Regrettably for gamers, the current landscape leaves them with limited options for lower mid-range GPUs, primarily from NVIDIA or AMD. If Intel were to eventually release the Arc B770, it seems unlikely to pose a significant challenge to established competitors, such as the RTX 5060 Ti or RX 9060 XT. However, with competitive pricing, the Arc B770 could still present an appealing choice for budget-conscious gamers.
