The Gestrals featured in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 may resemble humanoid figures; however, their origins trace back to a real-life dog named Monoco, associated with Verso. Furthermore, Noco, a young member of the family, adds another layer of companionship to the character dynamics in the game.

Being animal-inspired, the Gestrals possess a simplistic nature, which leads them to engage in joyful antics and playful chaos. Players can witness this lively spirit in Verso’s Drafts, where various Gestrals are portrayed having a great time; notably, one group is spotted amusing themselves by playing with toy boats on the water. Unfortunately, one of the Gestrals has lost its Toy Boat, prompting players to locate the Toy Boat location in Expedition 33 and return it.

To utilize the Toy Boat in Expedition 33, players need to find a trio of Gestrals who are currently playing with toy boats in the water. Upon approaching them, the Gestrals will reveal that one of their toy boats has been swept away by the current. If players have previously retrieved this boat, they can return it to the group for a reward.

To locate the Gestrals in need of the Toy Boat, players should head towards the Reverie Path expedition flag, and then navigate to the shaded region opposite of Esquie’s cousin’s location.

Keep to the right side of the path until reaching a right turn that leads to a water area populated by playful Gestrals. It’s advisable to avoid the left turn, as it leads elsewhere, even though it may eventually circle back to the desired area, given that the sites in Verso’s Drafts are interlinked.

Interact with the trio of Gestrals near the bridge; they will indicate that the Toy Boat can be found past the waterfall.Leap into the waterfall, and then swim under the falls to gain access to a concealed cave. Within the cave, players should interact with a pink/purple object to retrieve the Toy Boat for Expedition 33.

After finding the Toy Boat, return to the Gestrals to return the item, and in gratitude, players will receive a Piece of Cake. This is one of the three necessary Pieces of Cake needed to compile a Birthday Cake in Expedition 33, which is essential for unlocking a special gingerbread door within the Verso’s Drafts.
