GMKtec Introduces the NucBox K13 Lunar Lake Mini PC: Ideal for AI and Everyday Use with 16 GB RAM and up to 16 TB Storage Capacity

The popular mini PC manufacturer GMKtec has officially launched its inaugural model based on Intel’s Lunar Lake architecture: the NucBox K13. This device is outfitted with the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor, complementing GMKtec’s existing portfolio that features robust CPUs from both the Zen 5 Strix Halo series and the Arrow Lake family. The NucBox K13 stands out as GMKtec’s first venture into the Lunar Lake realm, offering an appealing blend of functionalities suitable for both professional users and gamers.

Measuring a mere 18.6 cm in length, the NucBox K13 is remarkably compact—smaller than a conventional gaming console—while weighing just 523 grams. This makes it highly portable without sacrificing performance or connectivity. Central to the device is the powerful 8-core/8-thread Intel Core Ultra 7 256V processor, which facilitates advanced AI computing, enabling it to execute localized AI workloads efficiently.

The NucBox K13 includes a robust integrated Arc 140V GPU, capable of handling most games at satisfactory frame rates. The device excels in AI performance, boasting up to 115 AI TOPS, positioning it as a competitive option for local AI inference and sophisticated multitasking. Notably, this mini PC is GMKtec’s first model to feature a 5 GbE LAN port, promoting ultra-fast internet connectivity.

The device comes equipped with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, clocked at an impressive 8533 MT/s, which is quite adequate for most applications and gaming. Moreover, users can expand storage capacity up to 16 TB through dual PCIe 4.0 2280 NVMe SSD slots. Connectivity options are extensive, featuring an HDMI 2.1 port that supports triple 4K displays, alongside dual USB4 ports with Alternate DisplayPort functionality. The NucBox K13 also includes several USB Type A and Type C ports, and a convenient Reset Button for quickly restoring BIOS settings.

The starting price for the NucBox K13 is $669 for the configuration consisting of 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, while a version with 1 TB of storage is available for $719. Interested customers can purchase the NucBox K13 at the official GMKtec store.
