User-Friendly Interface for All
Mozilla has designed this tool with simplicity in mind, catering to users who may not be very tech-savvy. During the backup process on a Windows 10 device, users will encounter two main options: “Sync with Firefox” and “Back up to PC.”
Additionally, users can select between a straightforward “Easy setup”option or an “All Data”option that encompasses sensitive information, including passwords. When opting for the latter, it is possible to encrypt the backed-up data with a password for enhanced security.
Scheduling Daily Backups
After selecting their preferred backup method and designating the storage location, users will have the benefit of scheduling daily backups. If the “Easy setup”option is chosen, the tool provides a notification that sensitive data such as passwords and payment information will not be included in that backup.
Restoring Your Data Post-Upgrade
Once users successfully upgrade to Windows 11, they will be welcomed by a Firefox pop-up notifying them that their backup data is ready to be restored. If users opted for the “All data”backup, they will need the previously chosen password to decrypt their backup files. Therefore, it is important to securely store that password.
