The Arc Raiders Headwinds update introduces an engaging new quest known as A Prime Specimen. Players can accept this quest from the trader Shani, which involves locating an ARC Deforester. Though deemed one of the simpler quests in the game, it does involve a puzzle that can be deceptively tricky. This guide will provide a comprehensive walkthrough for completing the A Prime Specimen quest effectively.

Locating the ARC Deforester in the A Prime Specimen Quest

After initiating the quest with Shani, it’s essential to enter a match on the Blue Gate map with a well-prepared loadout. While a free loadout is an option, having strong weapons and healing items is crucial since you will need to combat several ARCs. Beware, as other players may also be pursuing this quest, making the environment potentially hostile.

Once the match begins, navigate towards the Adorned Wreckage, located to the west of the map. There are no specific conditions needed to complete this portion of the quest, although players may find rarer loot under certain circumstances. However, increased difficulty from additional ARCs and adverse weather may complicate objectives.

Upon arrival at the Adorned Wreckage, keep an eye out for aerial enemies such as the Wasp or Hornet. Eliminating these foes will yield two ARC Power Cells, which are necessary for the puzzle ahead involving the Deforester.

The Deforester is a prominent ARC structure that should be easily visible. Look for an electrical panel on its front; insert one ARC Power Cell to activate the mechanism.

As the puzzle commences, players will face fire hazards. Timing is crucial; wait for the flames to cease before running to the button on the opposite side.
