On Monday, ADOR officially ended its exclusive contract with NewJeans member Danielle, leading to rampant speculation about her potential transition to THE BLACK LABEL, the esteemed South Korean entertainment firm associated with notable producer Teddy Park.

The chatter around Danielle’s possible move intensified after keen-eyed netizens noted her recent engagements with figures associated with THE BLACK LABEL. Danielle has often been seen with actor Park Bo Gum and singer Sean. Notably, Park Bo Gum signed with THE BLACK LABEL in January 2023, while Sean is currently the head of external relations at YG Entertainment, which maintains a significant partnership with THE BLACK LABEL.
Additionally, Danielle has actively participated in community activities alongside these individuals, such as joining their “Unknown Crew”running group for early morning jogging sessions and lending her efforts to charitable causes. She was last seen volunteering at a coal briquette delivery event with Sean on December 29, coinciding with the announcement of her contract termination.
Similar Patterns Observed
Further fueling speculation, netizens have pointed out another intriguing connection. Actor Im Si Wan, who joined THE BLACK LABEL in November 2025, was part of the same running group before his transition to the agency. This pattern suggests that Danielle might follow a similar career trajectory, adding weight to the current speculations.

ADOR alleges that Danielle has breached her exclusive contract by entering into conflicting agreements, partaking in independent entertainment activities, and potentially damaging both the company’s and NewJeans’ reputations. After a recent court ruling validated their contracts until 2029, members Haerin and Hyein have resumed ties with the agency, with Hanni confirming her return as well. However, discussions with Minji are still pending.

Both Danielle and THE BLACK LABEL have refrained from addressing the growing speculation directly. If she indeed makes the shift to THE BLACK LABEL, she would not be the first artist from HYBE to do so.
