Samsung has officially unveiled its long-awaited foray into the augmented reality (AR) market with the upcoming Galaxy Glasses. Recent high-resolution renders reveal a design that closely resembles Meta’s Ray-Bans and Google’s Gemini Glasses, marking a significant step in AR technology.

Recently, sources like Android Headlines and OnLeaks provided some of the first visual glimpses of these innovative glasses, which will utilize the Android XR platform along with Gemini AI capabilities.
The current variant of the Galaxy Glasses, internally referred to as Jinju, does not include an integrated micro-LED display; however, Samsung is also developing another model, known as Haean, that will feature this advanced technology. This aligns with earlier leaks from November 2025.
Samsung is expected to launch the display-less Galaxy Glasses in 2026, with a pricing strategy likely to range between $379 and $499. The display-equipped version is anticipated to enter the market in 2027, with a price point between $600 and $900.
Additionally, it was announced late last year that Samsung is collaborating with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to offer a variety of stylish frames for the Galaxy Glasses.
In terms of specifications, these glasses will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 processor and come equipped with a 155mAh battery. Notably, the 2026 model will include photochromic transition lenses, a 12MP Sony IMX681 camera, directional speakers that may incorporate bone conduction technology, and a lightweight frame at just 50g. The glasses are also set to support both WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3.
Thanks to the advanced capabilities of Gemini AI, the Samsung Galaxy Glasses will facilitate voice-activated functions such as translating signs, capturing images, retrieving weather information, and navigating using Google Maps.
