Megan Everett shared insights on the development timeline, stating, “We began work on the Switch 2 adaptation upon receiving development kits from Nintendo in early Fall 2025. Leveraging our solid foundation from the original Switch version, it took us approximately 6 to 7 months to confidently deliver a playable build. As a live service title, ongoing updates continue to refine the user experience.”

Hardware Improvements for Enhanced Gameplay

When asked about the hardware enhancements of the Switch 2, Everett emphasized the comprehensive upgrades: “Almost every aspect of the new platform has improved, ”including frame rates, loading times, and graphics quality. These advancements markedly enhance the overall Warframe experience, making it visually appealing and more enjoyable for players.

The Role of NVIDIA DLSS in Performance Goals

Regarding the inclusion of NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, Everett remarked on its importance: “DLSS allows us to render the game at lower internal resolutions (as low as 540p) while maintaining clarity.
