The latest update to 99 Nights in the Forest allows players to discover Christmas Lights scattered around the environment. These festive lights can primarily be found entwined around various trees and even adorned on wolves.

In the pristine, snowy surroundings of the forest, spotting Christmas Lights is relatively straightforward. Keep an attentive eye on the trees blanketed in snow, as many will feature these bright decorations. Utilize your axe to chop down the trees, which will yield three pieces of wood along with a Christmas Light.

In addition to trees, you may notice that the local wolves also sport Christmas Lights. While hunting these animals will reward you with meat and lights, it may prove to be more challenging, especially for newer players. It is advisable to focus your efforts on chopping trees, as this method is both productive and safer.

Decorating Christmas Trees in 99 Nights in the Forest

Once you’ve gathered a good collection of Christmas Lights, it’s time to put them to use by decorating the Christmas Trees. However, you must exclusively decorate the trees located in the North Pole Biome.

The North Pole Biome is conveniently situated on the northern side of your camp, clearly marked on the in-game map. Within this enchanting locale, players will find Santa’s Workshop, charming Gingerbread houses, and numerous Christmas Trees. Make sure to focus on the trees without snow to apply your Christmas Lights effectively.

To commence the decorating process, approach a tree and press ‘E’ to begin. Your task is to decorate a total of 12 Christmas Trees in the North Pole Biome, a requirement to successfully complete the event. This action will illuminate the area, allowing the elves to resume their work on Santa’s Workshop peacefully. Completing this task will also trigger an entertaining cutscene that you won’t want to miss!

Rewards for Decorating Christmas Trees

Christmas Tree Rewards

While the rewards for decorating Christmas Trees aren’t extensive, they are still delightful. For each tree you decorate, you will earn Candy Canes.

These Candy Canes can be redeemed for various items and classes at the Christmas Elf Shop within the game. Each tree rewards you with approximately three to four Candy Canes, so by decorating all 12 trees, you can expect to accumulate between 36 to 48 Candy Canes in total. For those eager to gather extra canes, consider decorating additional trees for some extra festive goodies to spend in the shop.
