BTS Leader RM Sustains Injury Ahead of Exciting Comeback Concert Event

In a worrying turn of events, BTS leader RM has recently sustained an ankle injury just days ahead of the group’s much-anticipated comeback concert in Seoul. This news has sparked concern among fans around the globe.

Big Hit, the group’s management company, confirmed the injury in an official statement, noting that RM hurt himself during a rehearsal on March 19.

According to the statement, “RM suffered an ankle injury and was taken to a hospital for a comprehensive examination and treatment.”Following a thorough evaluation, doctors diagnosed him with a sprained ankle, coupled with a partial ligament tear and a bone bruise, which has resulted in inflammation.

Due to the severity of the injury, RM will be required to wear a cast and limit his movements for at least two weeks to prioritize healing.

Commitment to Performance Despite Challenges

In their statement, Big Hit stressed the importance of prioritizing RM’s health in the decision-making process: “The decision was made to prioritize the medical opinion to prevent any further strain on his injury.”

Fans, collectively known as ARMY, have been eagerly anticipating this comeback, which marks BTS’s first live performance since their 2022 “Permission to Dance on Stage”tour. Following a hiatus during which all seven members completed their mandatory military service in South Korea, this concert is especially significant.

Even with the injury, RM is expected to appear on stage and connect with fans. According to RollingStone, Big Hit reassured supporters, stating, “Although RM’s performance will be limited, he will do his best to participate on stage and engage with ARMY and the audience.”

The comeback concert is set to take place at Gwanghwamun in Seoul, a location steeped in cultural significance, and is expected to attract a substantial audience. This event also coincides with the release of BTS’s fifth studio album, Arirang, marking their first full-length project in years.
