Upcoming Update 1.1.3.5 for Battlefield 6: Enhancements and Fixes
Electronic Arts (EA) and Battlefield Studios are gearing up to launch the next significant patch for Battlefield 6, officially labeled as Update 1.1.3.5. This update focuses on improving the game’s overall “polish and consistency, ”addressing issues related to melee combat, movement, air combat, and more.
According to a recent blog post on the Battlefield 6 website, “With Update 1.1.3.5, we’re delivering a smaller set of focused improvements aimed at polish and consistency.”It highlights changes including enhanced melee responsiveness, refined jet combat mechanics, better ladder interactions, alongside fixes for both Multiplayer and REDSEC user interface issues, plus stability improvements for Battle Royale and Gauntlet modes.
Key Features and Fixes
While this update may not be expansive, it introduces several significant enhancements. A notable fix addresses a bug that caused vehicles to explode when an enemy player performed a Takedown while lying on top of it. Moreover, the patch significantly reduces jet cannon damage against other aerial vehicles like jets and helicopters, promoting a more balanced air combat experience.

Additional enhancements include:
- Increased speed for knife attacks.
- Improved buffering behavior for both knife and sledgehammer strikes.
- More consistent recoil modifiers when using a controller.
- Sprint interruptions will now only occur when melee attacks successfully connect with targets.
Players will appreciate the updated melee system, which eliminates frustrating interruptions during sprinting towards an enemy, enhancing the fluidity of combat.
Looking Ahead
The rollout of Update 1.1.3.5 is scheduled for January 20, 2026. As players anticipate these changes, it’s worth noting that this comes shortly after EA and Battlefield Studios announced a delay in the game’s Season 2, now set to launch on February 17, 2026. Consequently, fans will have to wait a bit longer for new content, including fresh maps, weapons, and vehicles.
As the game continues to evolve with player feedback, this update illustrates EA and Battlefield Studios’ commitment to enhancing the Battlefield experience.
