Sunset Visitor Unveils New Game: Prove You’re Human

Sunset Visitor, the acclaimed studio that brought players the beloved narrative game 1000xResist, has announced its upcoming title, Prove You’re Human. This first-person narrative adventure centers on an AI named Mesa, who is utterly convinced of her humanity. This marks Sunset Visitor’s second venture following the success of their debut game, and it will be the inaugural release under the new publishing label, Black Tabby Publishing, formed by the indie development team Black Tabby Games, known for projects such as Slay the Princess and Scarlet Hollow.

Engaging Gameplay and Narrative Depth

Prove You’re Human appears to carry on the thematic essence of 1000xResist in terms of offering deeply reflective storytelling. Though the narratives themselves are not interconnected, the game’s approach encourages players to engage thoughtfully with the material presented to them.

In a recent press release, Remy Siu, the founder of Sunset Visitor, spoke passionately about the game’s development: “We’re always trying to lean into our strengths and locality. In Prove You’re Human, we’re very intentionally weaving real-world footage into our virtual landscape. Vancouver is a well-known film town. We’re accessing that infrastructure, along with our long-time collaborators, to bring a sense of tactility to human forms in the game.”

A Unique Perspective on AI

Players will step into the digital shoes of a human prototype tasked with assessing a new AI that believes it is a person. Players will engage with this AI while also interacting with the real-life version of themselves, creating a fascinating juxtaposition between the digital and physical worlds.

The premise lays the groundwork for an intriguing narrative filled with uncertainty and mystery. If Prove You’re Human mirrors the exploration found in 1000xResist, it promises a compelling experience worth diving into.

Looking Forward

While anticipation builds among fans, a downside to this announcement is the absence of a specific release date or timeframe. Remaining hopeful, players are eager for more information regarding the anticipated launch of Prove You’re Human.
