Microsoft Enhances Clipchamp with AI-Powered Transcript Editing

Microsoft has recently introduced an innovative feature to its cloud-based video editing platform, Clipchamp. This new functionality allows users to streamline their video editing process by enabling them to trim and eliminate unwanted segments directly from the transcribed text generated by Clipchamp’s built-in AI transcription tool.

Streamlined Editing for Diverse Content

  • Meeting Recordings: Easily remove off-topic discussions or moments when participants’ microphones are muted.
  • Webinars and Presentations: Cut out filler phrases and long Q&A sessions to focus on key insights.
  • Podcasts: Effortlessly eliminate mistakes or any undesired audio segments.

To experience this new capability, users can follow these straightforward steps:

  1. Open a video project in Clipchamp.
  2. Select the Transcript tab located on the right side of the editor interface.
  3. Click on Generate transcript, and once the transcription is complete, highlight the text segments you wish to remove.
