How to Prepare for the Creation Fight

Preparing for the Creation Fight

Preparation for this encounter doesn’t demand extensive changes, but a few key strategies can significantly enhance your chances of success against Creation.

Optimal Party Composition

Best Party Composition for Creation

By this stage, you should have identified your strongest party members. With the intensity of the upcoming battles, it’s essential to select characters with whom you’re familiar, as well as those in whom you’ve heavily invested.

For instance, Monoco demands considerable time to master his abilities. Entering an end-game battle with underdeveloped skills won’t yield favorable results. We strongly recommend deploying Verso, Sciel, and Maelle—proven characters for confronting the game’s toughest challenges.

For my encounter, I utilized Verso, Sciel, and Maelle, as represented in the image above.

The battle against Creation serves as a rigorous endurance test where efficient strategy is key. Given the complexity of its attacks, endurance combined with strong offensive capabilities is crucial. Prioritize skills that allow you to inflict Burn on Creation and self-heal when necessary.

Below is a summary of powerful skills employed by my three primary characters. This isn’t the moment for experimentation; focus on execution.

I slightly altered Verso’s strategy, switching to a tankier build after struggling against Creation. This provided the necessary survivability without sacrificing damage output. Utilizing skills like Blitz allowed for efficient damage while ensuring Verso remained a resilient party member.

Maelle’s ongoing Burn application significantly benefited Verso’s self-heal ability, creating a formidable synergy. Meanwhile, Sciel’s flexibility enabled her to deliver powerful strikes while also supporting the team with healing and buffs.

Understanding Creation’s Attacks

Dealing with Creation’s attacks poses a unique challenge. Its animations can be difficult to read, and the power behind its strikes is formidable.

Before starting the fight, it’s imperative to familiarize yourself with its attacks and develop a strategy to manage them effectively.

As the battle kicks off, Creation applies an inverted debuff to your team, preventing healing and causing any attempts to heal to result in damage. Additionally, you’ll face two summoned Aberration allies.

Strategies to Defeat Creation

How to Beat Creation in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Combatting Creation is a test of endurance, especially with the addition of its Aberration allies at the onset. Mastery of Creation’s attack patterns is essential for successful parrying. Remember that many of Creation’s attacks affect multiple team members. If you’re unsure about parrying, it’s wise to opt for dodging to minimize risks.

Even if your primary party falls, reserve characters can step in to continue the fight. Leverage your build for Verso to attack twice, which allows for quicker elimination of the adds and a heightened focus on Creation.

Utilizing Verso’s Paradigm Shift move effectively boosts your AP meter, especially if dodging over parrying becomes your preferred strategy.

Take time to understand Creation’s staggered attack animations. Learning the timing between its head and tail strikes is crucial, as its goal is to confuse and overwhelm you.

Note that Creation unofficially transitions into different phases at 66% and 33% health, acquiring shields and summoning Void Orbs. This differs from the typical approach of changing phases upon reaching a health threshold.

While Creation’s shields may appear daunting, they’re manageable if you can maintain effective parrying. This approach will grant ample AP for dismantling the shields. In dire situations, Sciel’s Gradient Attack can eliminate all shields at once. Although it may seem like a waste, your party should be well-equipped to take down Creation without relying on this powerful resource.

The key to winning lies in taking your time. Prioritize shield removal to limit dodging attacks from Creation. Remain composed and continuously practice dodging or parrying its strikes. With focus and perseverance, you’ll dismantle Creation.
