Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Future Update Will Introduce New Locations, Costumes, and Challenges

Exciting Update Announced for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Fans of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the acclaimed RPG crafted by Sandfall Interactive and launched in April 2025, have great news to celebrate. A forthcoming update will be released across all gaming platforms, bringing an array of new content and features to enhance gameplay.

This update follows a significant milestone for the game, as confirmed by a recent announcement from the studio on Steam. The developers marked the sale of over 5 million copies and celebrated an impressive 333 million streams of the original soundtrack by composer Lorien Testard. While the exact release date for the update has not yet been revealed, players can look forward to a variety of improvements and additions, which include:

  • Exploration of a new playable environment featuring fresh enemy encounters and hidden surprises.
  • New, challenging late-game boss battles designed to test players’ skills.
  • An array of new costumes for each party member, offering greater customization options.
  • Expanded game localization with new languages including Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing the total to 19 supported languages.

The addition of this new content is excellent news for players, as it promises to elevate one of the finest JRPGs of our generation. Given its stellar gameplay and rich storytelling, I strongly believe it stands as a serious contender for this year’s Game of the Year accolades.

Currently, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on a variety of platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide.
