During your adventures in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you will encounter the intriguing locales of Gestral Beach. There are a total of four unique Gestral Beaches, each hosting a minigame designed to challenge you and reward your efforts.

The minigames available across these beaches include thrilling activities such as volleyball, racing, and two variations of climbing challenges. One of the climbing games mirrors the well-known Steam game “Only Up.” The resemblance is quite amusing!

This guide will delve into the myriad challenges offered at Gestral Beach and detail the corresponding rewards that await those who successfully complete them.

Gestral Beach Raft Volleyball

The Raft Volleyball challenge presents participants with three levels of difficulty: Weakest, Normal, and Strongest.

Your primary task is to use R1/RB to strike a dummy and knock it back towards Gestral, thereby dismantling its platform. Precision and timing are crucial, as missing the dummy too many times will lead to your platform’s destruction.

Specifically, if you miss five times, your platform will collapse, prompting you to start anew. Here are the rewards you can earn for each difficulty level in the Raft Volleyball challenge:

Weakest: Resplendent Chroma Upgrade Material
Normal: Swimsuit II for Lune
Strongest: Swimsuit for Sciel

Gestral Beach Climbing: Ascension

Among the various challenges at Gestral Beach, the Ascension Climbing task stands out as the most demanding, drawing inspiration from the game Only Up.

In this challenge, players must ascend a towering structure composed of floating platforms, executing precise jumps to avoid falling. Should you tumble, there is a risk of reverting to the base level, although it’s possible to only drop a few tiers.Patience and a careful approach are key to success.

The ultimate prize for conquering the Ascension challenge is a swimsuit for Monoco.

Gestral Beach Climbing: Fireballs

Another exciting challenge invites players to scale the side of a building while dodging fireballs raining down. Successfully navigating this obstacle requires strategically alternating between handles.

If a fireball strikes you, you’ll be forced to restart the challenge from the bottom.Moving quickly is advisable, as the fireballs descend rapidly. When you finally reach the upper row of handles, make sure to shift to the middle handle to atop the building—this critical move is an essential part of the challenge and can catch you off guard!

The reward for completing this intense climbing challenge is a swimsuit for Maelle.

Gestral Beach Racing

Arguably the simplest of the challenges, the Gestral Beach racing event requires players to sprint through a course filled with platforms, aiming to cross the finish line as quickly as possible.

Participants can earn Bronze, Silver, or Gold Medals based on their finishing times. The time thresholds are as follows:

Gold: Under 38 seconds
Silver: Under 40 seconds
Bronze: Under 45 seconds

In my experience, I achieved a Gold Medal on my first try, so the challenge is certainly manageable! Remember to keep sprinting and only slow down for jumps and climbs between platforms, and you’ll easily meet the time requirements.

Upon earning a Gold Medal, players will be rewarded with Resplendent Chroma upgrade material for their weapons.
