The upcoming installment in the Sid Meier’s Civilization series is set to launch in a few months, but Firaxis Entertainment is already preparing fans for the much-anticipated 4X strategy game. The studio has now released the official system requirements for Civilization VII, outlining the necessary hardware specifications players will need to enjoy the game upon its release next year.
Firaxis disclosed the hardware requirements based on three settings: Low, Medium, and High. For the minimum requirements, players should possess at least a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX 460, or an Intel Arc A380. Notably, two of these GPUs were initially launched in 2016, providing ample options for gamers with lower-end hardware aiming for 1080p on low settings.
On the upper end, for those looking to play at 4K resolution with maximum settings, Firaxis recommends at least a GeForce RTX 4070 or an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT to achieve a stable 60FPS.
Moreover, the storage requirement is surprisingly manageable, requiring just 20 GB of space for this strategic title.
