Firaxis Games has officially launched Update 1.1.0 for its acclaimed strategic title, Civilization 7. This significant update brings several enhancements, notably the Bermuda Triangle natural wonder, improvements to the user interface, and balance tweaks for Mementos. Feedback from the player community has been predominantly positive, though gamers have shared various suggestions for future updates, such as alleviating in-game disasters relative to play speed and enhancing map visibility, which some players find excessively dim.
Since its release in early February 2025, Civilization 7 has garnered attention for inviting players to navigate the evolution of human civilization, stretching from primitive societies to advanced cultures. Interestingly, PlayStation 5 users have reported unexpectedly gaining early access to the downloadable content (DLC) titled Crossroads of the World Part 2, slated for a March 25 release. This clemency allows players who purchased the DLC or the Founder’s Edition to explore both parts ahead of schedule.
As the inaugural major update, version 1.1.0’s patch notes delineate improvements and issue resolutions, particularly beneficial for console users. Key adjustments involve fine-tuning the Modern Cultural Legacy Path for those pursuing a Geographic Society victory, such as raising the cost of Explorer Units and introducing the option to study Natural Wonders as Artifacts. Notably, Part 1 of the Crossroads of the World Collection includes the introduction of Ada Lovelace, enriching the roster of Civilization 7’s esteemed Scientific leaders.
