Firaxis Games, alongside its publisher 2K, has announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 has reached the milestone of going gold, signaling that the game is fully developed and ready for distribution. This significant milestone entails the game being sent to manufacturing for printing and packaging ahead of its much-anticipated launch.
This latest entry in the Civilization series, a turn-based strategy game that dates back to 1991 under the guidance of Sid Meier, is set to build on a rich legacy. There have been numerous installments, expansions, and spin-offs, culminating in the upcoming Civilization 7, which will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. Notably, Valve recently announced that Civilization 7 is verified for the Steam Deck, marking it as the first in the series to receive this certification.
