ChromeOS M133 Officially Released: What You Need to Know
It has been over three months since ChromeOS M133 made its debut for Canary users, showcasing innovative features such as face-controlled navigation and the helpful Welcome Recap. After the Feature Freeze in December 2024, the development team pivoted away from releasing new functionalities, concentrating instead on refining performance and addressing bugs.
With quality enhancements now finalized, Google has announced the official rollout of ChromeOS M133 to the stable channel. However, it’s essential to remember that these updates will be deployed gradually, and not all devices will receive them simultaneously.
The Distinct Release Cycle of ChromeOS
Unlike many operating systems that offer substantial yearly updates, ChromeOS adopts a more frequent release cycle akin to that of the Chrome browser. This approach enhances both security and performance; however, it results in fewer significant feature updates compared to Android 16.

A notable addition is the Bluetooth Microphone Super Resolution. Leveraging a machine learning model known as Sound EnhAncement Network (SEANeT), this feature reconstructs high-frequency audio details from low-frequency signals, promising improved sound quality during communications.
