Chinese AI Firm Unveils “DeepEye” AI Box, Featuring Up To 48 TOPS & Affordable Designs
Intellifusion, a Chinese company, recently introduced a new AI-focused device that guarantees cost-effective AI solutions and a comprehensive plan for future upgrades.
Chinese Companies Defy US Sanctions with AI-Powered Solutions Offering Top Performance at Affordable Prices
Despite facing high US chip sanctions, Chinese companies have experienced significant growth in their in-house solutions over the past year. Leading the way is Huawei, with their advanced AI solutions.
Following the ignition of the fire, another company has entered the competition. Intellifusion has announced its latest “DeepEye”AI box, which includes the company’s own DeepEdge10 Max chip. Though information about the chip is limited, it has been revealed that it is manufactured using a 14nm process and has a chiplet design with a D2D interface. Additionally, the chip boasts a domestic RISC-V architecture.
Intellifusion has carefully outlined a comprehensive plan for the launch of its DeepEye AI boxes. The initial batch will showcase the powerful DeepEdge10Max chip, which boasts an impressive 48 TOPS of AI computing and exceptional INT8 training performance.
The upcoming release, scheduled for the first half of 2025, will feature the upgraded DeepEdge10Ultra chip, with an expected power of 96 TOPS. Additionally, a smaller device utilizing the DeepEdge10Pro chip, delivering 24 TOPS, is also planned for launch in the near future.
Intellifusion has a well-established presence in the Chinese market, having collaborated with local governments on multiple projects focused on civic welfare and utilizing AI capabilities. While this is their initial venture into the consumer market, it appears that they have the potential to attract clients in need of AI computing through their “native”resources. Additionally, the company intends to launch their products at a competitive price point, with the first batch of DeepEye AI boxes reportedly priced at approximately 1000 yuan.
Intellifusion believes that their price offers a “90%”more competitive solution compared to alternatives such as GPUs, which are significantly more expensive. They will focus on providing their products to low and mid-tier enterprise users, meeting the demand for AI computing power at this level.
Although we cannot guarantee Intellifusion’s ability to deliver their promised AI performance, the numbers are worth noting as they closely rival some of the fastest NPUs offered by companies like Qualcomm in the industry.
