“Chicago Rapper King Yella Claims OTF Jam Snitched on Lil Durk in Quando Rondo’s Cousin’s Murder Case”
Following Lil Durk’s arrest on October 24, 2024, there has been rising speculation surrounding five associates who were arrested earlier. Among the voices chiming in was Chicago rapper King Yella, who suggested that OTF Jam may have provided information against the 32-year-old rapper related to the shooting incident from 2022.
A video shared on Kollege Kidd’s X account featured King Yella discussing those involved in the case and the recent arrests. He stated:
“Lil Durk has been taken in by federal authorities. I’m not certain if he’s facing charges; it’s likely just questioning. There’s a lot of chatter about OTF, but I heard the name OTF Jim come up. People are alleging he’s a rat…”
Yella went on to say:
“There’s definitely a rat. Someone affiliated with OTF, someone who knows too much about Lil Durk and his circle.”
Additionally, an interview with Bricc Baby on No Jumper has further intensified rumors about a potential informant regarding the rapper, who was apprehended in South Florida.
Reports indicate that after his arrest, Durk faced charges for murder for hire, as confirmed by law enforcement. He is currently being held in Broward County Jail, pending a transfer to the US Marshals, according to information from The Independent.
Lil Durk’s assertion about OTF as a non-gang organization
Before Lil Durk’s apprehension, five of his OTF associates—Kavon London Grant (aka Vonnie), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (aka DeDe), Keith Jones (aka Flacka), David Brian Lindsey (aka Browneyez), and Asa Houston (aka Boogie)—had already been arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder for hire.
According to the Express Tribune, these individuals reportedly killed Quando Rondo’s cousin by accident, initially aiming to target Quando himself. The court hearings for Houston and Jones are set to take place in Chicago, while the others are expected to be moved to Los Angeles.
For context, back in August 2022, Quando Rondo and his entourage were involved in a shooting incident at a gas station in Beverly Grove, Los Angeles. Rondo was unharmed, but his cousin lost his life in the attack. The suspects have since been identified in connection to this tragic event.
At the time, it was reported that the assailants fled the scene following the shooting. Lul Pab, Quando’s cousin, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he ultimately died from his injuries.
Although Durk was arrested recently, he has not yet been included in the indictment. Documents indicate that the suspects visited a nearby restaurant post-shooting to discuss payment arrangements.
The New York Post reported that the rapper in custody asserted that OTF did not function as a gang. The news of this arrest has sent shockwaves through social media and the hip-hop community alike. Notably, DJ Akademiks expressed his dismay during a live stream upon receiving the news.
The investigation into this case is ongoing, and no further updates regarding the arrests or charges have been disclosed at this time.
