Internet influencer Charleston White has shared his thoughts on the recent arrest of rapper Lil Durk, who faces serious murder-for-hire charges. In a video interview released on X on Friday, October 26, with Say Cheese, he remarked:
“For us as Black individuals, this signifies a genuine victory. It’s a real breakthrough. That dark, demonic force originating from Chicago has unleashed its negative energy across the nation.”
Delving deeper into Lil Durk’s situation, he added,
“We are finally in a position to extinguish that fire. I doubt that drill music will ever resurface. I can’t see drill artists receiving acclaim ever again. It’s the end of drill music—a definitive knockout.”
In another video posted on X while driving on October 25, White discussed the ramifications of Durk’s high-profile incident, suggesting that due to his fame, Durk would likely require protective custody.

In the October 26 interview with Say Cheese on X, Charleston White, known for critiquing hip-hop culture, stated:
“This represents a win for law-abiding Black Americans who appreciate hip-hop yet condemn its violent aspects. A lot of ‘free Durk’ sentiments are circulating now. The campaign for support is underway… I plan to stir the pot daily because he’s Black.”
In an earlier video uploaded on October 25, White expressed his satisfaction regarding Durk’s arrest, highlighting the double standards he perceives. He further ignited reactions from netizens after they mocked his own recent arrest on October 12, stating:
“No one is laughing at Durk like they did when I was incarcerated. It’s outrageous. Your favorite rapper is in jail now, facing serious consequences just as I did… He’s struggling just to breathe. I understand that predicament.”
Charleston White elaborated on the disparities in public sympathy based on a celebrity’s status. He implied that fans’ affection is often reserved for their ‘favorites’, which detracts from any support he received during his legal challenges.
He further opined that audiences idolize their chosen rappers, neglecting the impact on community advocates. White raised concerns about the grim realities of federal confinement and the potential risks Durk might face, stating:
“I will keep rising in this industry. As long as rap exists, I will maintain my platform. You all cherish those rappers while dismissing a community activist.”
White pointed out that famous individuals typically struggle within California’s prison system, making them susceptible to manipulation. He concluded his commentary by playing “All My Life” by J. Cole and Lil Durk, further blending the worlds of hip-hop and societal reflection.
White’s statements have stirred debate in light of Lil Durk’s arrest, which occurred on Thursday, October 24, in Florida. He faces severe allegations from federal prosecutors, accused of hiring five individuals to execute a revenge killing against Quando Rondo linked to the 2020 murder of King Von.
