Character Plush From Suikoden 1 and 2 Make a Comeback in Japan

Hobby Japan recently took to social media to unveil an exciting announcement: the much-anticipated return of six Suikoden character plush toys. Fans can now pre-order these beloved collectibles from Japan, with an official launch scheduled for September 2025. Notably, AmiAmi has also confirmed that, despite the limited nature of these items, they will accept pre-orders for each character at a price of ¥3, 300 (approximately $23) each.

The plush toys stand approximately 7 inches (18 cm) tall, offering a familiar size for collectors and fans alike. Crafted in a charming chibi style, each toy beautifully captures the essence of prominent characters from the iconic Suikoden series. While they come dressed in the signature outfits as seen in the games, it’s worth noting that these garments are not removable.

Character Lineup

The upcoming collection features a selection of the most memorable characters from the Suikoden saga. Here’s a rundown of who to expect, along with links to their respective AmiAmi pages:

Although Luc’s character appears across various games in the franchise, the plush version will be specifically modeled after his look from the second installment of Suikoden.

Shipping and Availability

AmiAmi continues to offer worldwide shipping, including to customers in the United States. However, a recent notice on their homepage indicated that they halted surface mail options as of April 9, 2025, due to increased tariffs introduced under President Trump’s administration. With ongoing trade tensions affecting international shipping, customers are advised to stay updated with vendor announcements, as some retailers, like Funstock and Good Smile Company, have paused pre-orders or delayed shipments as a precaution.

The release of these plush toys marks a significant moment for fans, as they tie into the broader excitement surrounding the Suikoden franchise, especially with the recent launch of the Suikoden 1 and 2 HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars collection, which is available on various platforms, including the Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC globally.
