The tech giant’s initiative to create Blackwell wafers domestically has garnered widespread recognition, even earning praise from industry leaders and politicians alike, including President Trump. In a recent interview with Fox News, Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s CEO, highlighted the crucial involvement of Taiwanese corporations such as TSMC, Foxconn, and Wistron. He noted that the ambitious “Made in the USA”vision would have faced substantial challenges without their steadfast support.

Within nine months, with the partnership of TSMC, which is an incredible partner for the United States, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and SPIL, we’ve been able to manufacture now the most advanced AI chip in the world, completely in the United States and Arizona.

The expansion of TSMC in the United States has not only reinvigorated domestic manufacturing but has also attracted further investments from other key players in the industry. Foxconn and Wistron have declared multi-billion dollar investments aimed at enhancing assembly and production capabilities in the U. S., while Amkor is developing an advanced packaging facility to tackle significant bottlenecks in the supply chain. Thus, it is evident that the collaborative efforts with Taiwanese firms have been instrumental in cultivating a robust and resilient supply chain for the United States.
