Celebrities Seen at 2NE1’s ‘Welcome Back’ Anniversary Concert

The highly anticipated ‘Welcome Back’ anniversary concert of 2NE1 is nearing its grand finale. Kicking off on October 4, this three-day event marks a heartfelt reunion after 15 long years, with performances taking place at the Olympic Hall in Seoul.

The quartet, featuring Park Bom, Minzy, Sandara Park, and CL, delivered a nostalgic setlist that included fan-favorite tracks such as “Do You Love Me”and “Clap Your Hand.”

On the first day of the concert, numerous celebrities gathered to show their support, with some attending the event in person. Notably, G-Dragon from Big Bang was present, while IU and Pharrell Williams shared their congratulatory messages through recorded videos.

The WELCOME BACK concert buzzed with excitement as a vibrant crowd filled the venue. Among the attendees were renowned figures like BIGBANG’s G-Dragon, members of BABYMONSTER, and aespa’s Winter.

Additionally, many stars expressed their support for the group, both by attending and sending recorded messages that were played on a large screen during the event.

G-Dragon conveyed a warm message, congratulating the group and showcasing his signature finger hearts. IU conveyed her enthusiasm, wishing she could join in, stating:

“To my beloved 2NE1, congratulations on the WELCOME BACK concert! It’s been ages since you last connected with your fans, and I know both you and the fans will be thrilled and have an unforgettable time. I’m a fan too and would love to attend!”

NewJeans also hailed the group as their seniors, celebrating their return to the stage, remarking:

“Everyone, let’s welcome our 2NE1 seniors who are performing live after such a long time… We are genuinely excited for the WELCOME BACK concert.”

Pharrell Williams expressed his admiration for CL, commending their accomplishments, saying:

“Huge congrats to CL and the entire team, you really deserve this. Showtime!”

The concert screens featured messages from various artists, including IVE, BabyMonster, BoyNextDoor, Zico, Kiss of Life, Stray Kids, Twice, (G)I-DLE, and Treasure, who all lent their support.

Among the enthusiastic audience were aespa’s Winter, G-Dragon, and the entire BabyMonster crew, along with MBlaq’s Thunder and his wife Mimi, who also joined the celebration.

Prior to the event, various media outlets got up close with the members for interviews. When asked about their concert setlist, CL shared,

“The essence of the [WELCOME BACK] concert is to revive the classic 2NE1 experience. In our previous tours, we adjusted choreography and arrangements, but this time, we aimed to capture the original spirit of 2NE1 that fans have been longing for.”

Dara reflected on the preparations, expressing her bittersweet emotions:

“I’m already feeling nostalgic. We began practicing in July, and I know I’ll miss these moments when we’re on stage. What felt ordinary before now seems special, so I’m cherishing every second. I hope everyone is excited to see our performance, as we’ve matured and feel free to express ourselves more.”

The event is set to wrap up on October 6, with the group planning a tour that starts in Seoul and concludes in December.
