The devastating and unexpected news of Liam Payne’s death has left both fans and fellow celebrities in shock. On October 16, the former One Direction star was found deceased after a fall from the third floor of his hotel room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

According to a report by the Associated Press, local authorities have confirmed that his fall resulted in “extremely serious injuries,”with medical personnel declaring him dead at the scene.

Pablo Policicchio, the Communications Director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, mentioned that law enforcement was summoned to the hotel due to a guest who was reportedly under the influence of “drugs or alcohol”and exhibited aggressive behavior, leading to damage in the room.

The pop star’s passing prompted an outpouring of grief from celebrities and fans alike. Charlie Puth was among the first to respond. He took to his Instagram stories to share heartfelt memories with Liam, stating:

“I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I cannot believe he is gone…”

Puth expressed further sorrow, saying:

“I am so upset right now, may he rest in peace.”

In addition, he honored the British artist with a dedicated post on Instagram.

Liam Payne gained fame as a member of One Direction (1D), along with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson, helping the group become one of the highest-selling bands in history.

Liam Payne is survived by his seven-year-old son, Bear, whom he shares with singer Cheryl Cole.
