Celebrating 1 Year of 3D: BTS Jungkook’s Chart-Topping Single Achievements and Milestones
On September 29, 2024, BTS’ Jungkook’s hit single, 3D (feat. Jack Harlow), celebrated its one-year anniversary. The track was originally released a year prior, on September 29, 2023, and later featured on his debut solo album, GOLDEN, that was globally launched on November 3, 2023.
The song notably peaked at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts on October 14, 2023. Although it did not reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 like SEVEN, it secured the No. 5 position upon debut, racking up an impressive 13.6 million streams, 3.1 million radio listeners, and 87,000 sales.
In terms of commercial performance, 3D has achieved remarkable success since its release in September 2023. It quickly reached the top of the American iTunes charts, with the original version maintaining its position there for several weeks throughout October 2024.

According to a report by Forbes, multiple versions of 3D were made available during the first week of October 2023. These included a remix by A.G. Cook, a clean version, as well as sped-up and slowed-down variations, all of which have made significant impressions by landing spots within the iTunes top 10.

The single topped numerous international charts including the India International Singles (IMI) chart, the Indonesia Billboard chart, the Malaysia Billboard chart, the Hong Kong Billboard chart, the Malaysia International (RIM) chart, and the MENA (IFPI) chart, among others. Additionally, it reached No. 1 on the Spotify Global chart with 6.51 million streams on October 3, 2023.
In other news, BTS’ Jungkook officially enlisted in the South Korean military on December 12, 2023. As mandated by the country’s law, every able-bodied male South Korean citizen between the ages of 18 and 30 is required to serve in the military for a period ranging from 18 to 21 months. Jungkook is expected to complete his service and return in June 2025 to join his fellow BTS members.
