CD Projekt RED Playtesting Program Expands in the US for Upcoming Game Access
CD Projekt RED, the renowned developer behind the Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077, has officially announced its involvement in a series of sequels and new projects across its diverse studios. The company initiated a playtesting program back in 2023, stating its goal was to “create games that inspire and enrich gamers’ lives.”Initially, this playtest was exclusive to Warsaw, Poland, where their main studio is located. However, the program is now expanding its operations to the United States.
In a recent announcement, the RED Playtesting Program has opened its doors for applications, inviting players eager to engage with early developmental phases of CD Projekt RED’s upcoming games and provide valuable feedback. Players over the age of 16, who are not already employed in the gaming industry, are eligible to apply.
The studio describes the program as offering participants a rare opportunity to shape the development of CD Projekt RED’s titles by sharing their insights on various aspects, including gameplay mechanics, narrative, character evolution, and artistic vision, starting from very early phases of production.
The playtesting sessions will take place as in-person events at the studio’s location in Boston, Massachusetts. For those who are unable to attend in person, online options for interviews and other research activities will also be accessible.
In return for their contributions to the development process, participants in the program will receive special rewards and an opportunity to voice their opinions. Interested individuals can sign up for the RED Playtesting Program here.
Currently, CD Projekt RED is hard at work on a new installment in The Witcher series, set to launch a fresh trilogy, with over 400 team members dedicated to the project as of July 2024. Additionally, there are plans for a new game within the Cyberpunk universe, as well as an Unreal Engine 5 remake of the original Witcher title, among other exciting projects being developed across its studios.
