Carson Daly Reacts to Austyn Stancil’s Rare Triple Steal on The Voice
The highly anticipated episode 9 of The Voice season 26 aired on October 28 on NBC, showcasing the exciting third round of the Battles. Gwen Stefani concluded the episode by having her team members, Austyns Stancil and Jose Luis, go head-to-head.
After an exhilarating performance, Stefani declared Jose Luis the winner, allowing him to progress further in the competition while leaving Stancil available for a steal. The other three coaches quickly seized the opportunity, hitting their steal buttons to recruit the talented singer for their teams.

In this episode, Austyns Stancil and Jose Luis delivered a captivating rendition of Sam Smith’s “Lay Me Down.”Gwen Stefani was impressed by both contestants, expressing uncertainty over her choice while heaping praise on their performances.
Before arriving at her decision, the coach expressed her gratitude to both singers for their efforts. Regarding Stancil’s performance, she remarked:
“Austyns, you were so composed tonight. You took my advice about your facial expressions, and it all came together beautifully. Your tone is magnificent.”
Ultimately, Stefani selected Jose Luis as the competition winner, emphasizing his remarkable vocal range and her eagerness to see how he continues to evolve in the show.
With Stancil now in a vulnerable position, The Voice host Carson Daly announced his availability for a steal. This prompted Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé to immediately express their interest in recruiting him, each making a case for why he should join their teams.
Reba began her appeal with a humorous comment, noting that she wanted Stancil on her team because she admired his red hair and stylish shirt. She praised his confidence, mentioning how he charmingly blew kisses as he entered the stage.
The country artist expressed her admiration for every aspect of Stancil’s performance and her desire to have him join her team.
Snoop Dogg then took his turn to pitch to Stancil, stating:
“Let me tell you this, nephew. I was interested in you from the beginning, and now I want you on my team more than ever. Gwen has shown you the potential to step outside your comfort zone. I want to guide you back home to that soulful sound.”
He continued by conveying that although Gwen offered Stancil a glimpse of his capacity, he could provide the direction he needed to fully flourish.
Michael Bublé highlighted the difficulty of the decision-making process, commending Stancil for infusing the stage with love. He assured Stancil that if he opted to join his team, he would aid him in “cultivating that connection on an even deeper level.”
“I can help you connect with the audience. You possess that special something, and I would love to accompany you on your journey to becoming the star you’re destined to be,”Bublé added.
