Cardi B’s Regrets About Offset: Insights on Their Kids and Relationship
On Wednesday, September 25, Cardi B and Offset were reportedly involved in a public confrontation on social media. The WAP singer expressed her regrets about her relationship with the Migos rapper. This couple, who recently welcomed their third child, has frequently made headlines due to their tumultuous on-and-off relationship.
During an Instagram Live session on Wednesday, Cardi B addressed her relationship with Offset. The rapper expressed her feelings regarding her estranged husband by stating,
“But f**k you, I regret you. I’m too good for you. I’ve always been too good for you.”
Although she appreciates their children, Cardi declared that she no longer wished to maintain her relationship with Offset. The couple has three children together: Kulture Kiari Cephus, born in July 2018; Wave Set Cephus, born in September 2021; and a baby girl, born earlier this month.
“Now we’re going to court war, right?”: Cardi B claims during Instagram Live
The confrontation between the two artists intensified when Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, age 32, allegedly accused Cardi B (Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar), age 31, of infidelity. Cardi later went on Instagram Live, where she acknowledged her appreciation for her children but reiterated her regret concerning the relationship, stating,
“Thank you for my kids though, all three of them, I don’t regret any of them but I regret you. You’re a good daddy, you’re all right but I don’t regret any of them.”
The rapper, recognized for hits such as Bodak Yellow and Drip, also mentioned a potential court battle, asserting,
“Since you wanna f**king threaten me, talking about you wanna take my sh*t, you wanna take my sh*t because I’m moving on? Move on. Move on. Why can’t you move on?”She later added, “It’s no fun when Mama’s got the gun, right? Now we’re going to court war, right?”
A now-deleted comment from Offset’s account, as reported by Hollywood Unlocked and E!, stated:
“U f**ked with a baby inside tell the truth!!”
Cardi B took to X on the same day, tweeting, “AND DID! !!!!!”which sparked widespread speculation among fans that she was responding to Offset’s comments. Cardi further tweeted,
“A hurt Nik*a will do the unthinkable”
Cardi B and Offset were first publicly linked in February 2017 after attending Super Bowl LI together. They wed on September 20, 2017, although Offset proposed to Cardi on October 27, 2017, during Power 99’s Powerhouse concert.
The Taki-Taki singer initially filed for divorce from Offset in September 2020 but later withdrew the petition. On November 20, 2021, Cardi discussed their relationship with E!, saying,
“Of course we went through some challenges,”adding, “We had to get to know each other better. But I feel like I’ve never been happier. I really feel like [it’s] not even just like marriage, it’s the family, the unity, the friendship that we have, the ‘I have your back, you have my back.’
On August 1, 2024, a representative for Cardi confirmed to Page Six that the rapper had filed for divorce on July 31.
As of now, representatives for Cardi B and Offset have not publicly commented on the ongoing situation.
