On October 8, fans were excited to see the release of the ninth episode of BTS’ Jin’s series RUN JIN on BANGTAN TV’s official YouTube channel. This episode, dubbed Blood, Sweat, & Peppers, featured Jin engaging in pepper harvesting.
After gathering the peppers, Jin teamed up with law students to sort through their collection. During their time together, the students began discussing Jin’s educational background in theatre and film. One of the students brought up Konkuk University, which is where Jin completed his studies.
In an intriguing moment, another student asked Jin if he knew any notable alumni from the university. Jin took a moment to think and brought up Song Kang, the star of My Demon. Upon hearing Kang’s name, the other students expressed their awe by exclaiming, “Wow.”
Jin’s fans were elated to learn about his connection with Song Kang. One user on X expressed, “What do I have to do to get these two in one frame?”
“OMG SEOKJIN AND SONG KANG CRUMBS??!! MY TWO FAVS,” one excited fan shared.
Numerous reactions from the followers of both BTS’ Jin and Song Kang appeared on X. Some fans recalled an interview from 2019 where Song Kang referenced Jin, while others pointed out that Kang exhibited “Jin energy” in his show My Demon. Additionally, many enthusiasts were eager to see a drama featuring both Jin and Kang.
“Dude, I literally said while watching My Demon that Song Kang had such Jin energy omg. … don’t be shy, let’s star in a drama together. …” a fan commented.
“I remember Song Kang mentioning Seokjin before too, saying he was shocked by his visuals,” noted another admirer.
Many devotees are looking forward to seeing the two stars come together, especially after Song Kang’s military service, which is set to begin on April 2, 2024.
“Pleaseee I want to see them together in a K-drama,” a fan pleaded.

Song Kang Showcased His Admiration for BTS’ Jin’s Looks Back in 2019
On August 27, 2019, during an interview for his Netflix romantic series Love Alarm, Song Kang shared insights about BTS’ Jin, who was his senior at university. As reported by SBS News, he conveyed his impression of Jin’s real-life appearance.
“I met Jin sunbaenim once at school, and someone was walking towards me. He was so attractive that I asked a classmate who he was, and it turned out to be Jin sunbaenim. I thought, ‘You have to look like that to debut as a celebrity!’”
As Song Kang fulfills his military duty, BTS’ Jin completed his service in June 2024. After his own discharge, Jin commenced his vlog series, RUN JIN, which began airing on August 13. New episodes are unveiled on BANGTAN TV’s YouTube channel every Tuesday.
