Exciting Updates Coming to Monster Hunter Wilds
This month, players can anticipate the release of the highly awaited Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds. This significant update promises to bring back the iconic monster, Lagiacrus, alongside a slew of new features and balance adjustments.
Release Date and Features
While an exact launch date has not yet been revealed, official announcements via the game’s Japanese Twitter account confirm a release at the end of June. Fans are eager for the complete patch notes, but they can already look forward to the return of Lagiacrus, a fan-favorite from Monster Hunter Tri. This version of Lagiacrus is set to be adapted for the game’s current mechanics, especially since underwater combat will not be included, similar to its redesign in Monster Hunter Generations.

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics
Since its launch earlier this year on various platforms, including PC and consoles, Monster Hunter Wilds has innovated the franchise by incorporating open-world elements. This allows players to remain immersed in the hunting experience, actively pursuing monsters as they appear on dynamically changing maps.
As a natural progression from the mechanics established in Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Wilds stands out as one of the series’ most compelling iterations. Although seasoned players may perceive a decrease in challenge and some performance issues—particularly on PC—the game excels in many areas. Improved onboarding processes, accessibility, an engaging main storyline, exceptional map designs, and refined combat systems contribute to making this title appealing to both newcomers and veteran hunters alike.
Availability
Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. With these new updates, it’s an excellent time for players to dive into the game and experience everything it has to offer.
