“Can’t Even Spell but Still Trying to Be Funny”: Internet Responds as Lil Pump Stands Firm in ‘F*ck Taylor Swift’ T-Shirt

Gazzy Fabio Garcia, known as Lil Pump, continues his feud with pop star Taylor Swift. This time he sported a white T-shirt that read, “F*ck Taylor Swift.”On Saturday, September 28, 2024, the rapper posted an image on Instagram alongside a fan wearing the controversial tee, with the caption:

“JUST A QUICK REMINDER FOR THE SWIFTIES.”

Lil Pump’s recent onslaught aimed at the “Blank Space”singer follows her endorsement of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. The rapper has long been an outspoken supporter of Harris’s opponent, Donald Trump.

As Garcia’s image wearing the red and white T-shirt spread across social media, many users voiced their disapproval. One user criticized the spelling, commenting:

“Tryna be funny & can’t even spell.”

“You have no clue why ur even voting for Kamala”- Lil Pump calls out Taylor Swift on X for endorsing Kamala Harris

Lil Pump, who hails from Miami, Florida, gained fame with his 2017 hit “Gucci Gang,”which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite mixed reviews from critics, the single achieved quintuple platinum status from the RIAA.

The rapper’s recent post seemingly mocking Swift was reportedly taken in Hong Kong, where he is currently on tour. According to TMZ, Garcia intentionally misspelled Swift’s name to “troll”the artist.

This isn’t the first time Lil Pump has attacked the “Folklore” artist. Shortly after Swift endorsed the Democratic nominee, the Florida rapper made multiple posts criticizing her, stating:

“You have no clue why ur even voting for Kamala. Maybe cuz ur a billionaire and voting her has 0 impact on ur life.”

He further claimed that Taylor Swift failed to research her choice, asserting she backed Harris right after a debate where Harris allegedly “lied many many times.”

In a different post, Lil Pump rebuked Swift for encouraging followers to support Harris. He shared a modified screenshot of a tweet supposedly from Swift criticizing him, commenting:

“Inflation through the roof and ppl are struggling to pay bills. They def won’t be able to afford tix to ur shows! She (Harris) said she will make changes right away. WHY DIDN’T SHE IN THE PAST 3.5 YEARS?”

Earlier this month, Taylor Swift announced her support for Kamala Harris on Instagram just a day following the highly anticipated presidential debate. In her post, Swift claimed that Harris stands for the right causes, describing her as a “steady-handed, gifted leader”who would govern with “calm, not chaos.”

Swift also praised her running mate, Tim Walz, for his advocacy of LGBTQ+ rights, IVF access, and women’s autonomy over their bodies. She mentioned that she felt the need to clarify her position after an AI-generated image of her purportedly endorsing Trump circulated online in August.

The next day, during an interview with Fox News, Trump referred to Taylor Swift as a “liberal,”saying:

“I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time… she’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Taylor Swift has yet to respond publicly to Lil Pump’s comments.
