All the details about Tyler The Creator’s ‘Chromakopia’ album

On October 17, 2024, Tyler posted the first glimpse and teaser trailer for Chromakopia. The album’s title is a creative blend of the word “Chroma,”meaning “color,”and “Kopia,”a term believed to be derived from Polish meaning “copy.”

The teaser emphasizes the significance of color as a primary element in the project. It opens with Tyler, donned in a dark mask, marching alongside a troop of soldiers through a desert landscape.

The majority of the trailer is presented in a stark Sepia tone, generating a sense of tension as both Tyler and the soldiers make their way into a large shipping container bearing the album title spray-painted on its exterior.

Upon entering the container, a hand reaches out from behind the camera to hit a detonator, leading to an explosion that engulfs those inside. The fiery blast briefly transitions the trailer into vibrant color moments before the title “Chromakopia”lights up the screen.

Tyler also showcases a new hairstyle, which may nod to the “devil horns” featured in the album art, hinting at an exploration of darker themes within the album.

This track features a collaboration with Daniel Caesar, who is part of this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw lineup, and fans have noted possible ad-libs and vocals from Tyler’s close associate, Frank Ocean.

“Calm down, sit still, that’s one mill’ for each wheel / Top ten, big deal, how the f–k he do that? What the f–k I look like? Get the f–k up out him way…”- Tyler The Creator in ‘ST. CHROMA’.

While details regarding guest appearances and the complete tracklist for Chromakopia remain scarce, Tyler has confirmed that physical copies and merchandise bundles for the album are now available for pre-order on his official website.
