Exploring The Tomb Map Areas

  • The Tomb features nine distinct areas:
    • You Site
    • Neolithic Catacombs
    • The Ossuary
    • Tombs
    • Subterranean Temple
    • Deep Excavation
    • Shrine of the Hierophants
    • Doorway to Nowhere
    • Dark Aether Nexus

Among the vivid new screenshots, the Tombs area captivates players with its impressive statues of ancient warriors amid stunning architecture illuminated by sunlight filtering through the ceiling. Beyond this lies the Shrine of the Hierophants, a somber yet beautiful candlelit space designating the resting place for notable historical figures, acting as a pivotal point before entering the Subterranean Temple and the expansive Deep Excavation.

For those navigating the treacherous Deep Excavation, courageous players may venture deeper to discover the Doorway to Nowhere and the Dark Aether Nexus. Although Treyarch has not shared extensive details about these regions, it’s anticipated that the Dark Aether Nexus will serve as the climax of the main quest, where players aim to liberate Samantha Maxis from her confinement within the Dark Aether. Newcomers who struggle with the main quest within traditional Zombies mode may find solace in Directed Mode, where the maximum round limit is capped at 15.

New Enemies and Features

The Tomb introduces a formidable new nemesis known as the Shock Mimic. These devious creatures camouflage themselves as helpful items before attacking players with ferocious razor-sharp claws. When provoked, the Shock Mimic can disrupt players’ movements through electrification and visual distortion, complicating their radar functionality. Equipped with powerful weapons such as the Ray Gun from Black Ops 6 should become essential for tackling these threats. Furthermore, fan-favorite weapons like the PPSh-41 submachine gun return, along with the Death Perception Perk-A-Cola from Black Ops 4, enhancing players’ combat abilities.
