Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is gearing up for its Season 2 update, which promises to resolve one of the most persistent issues players have faced: the Master Prestige bug. This glitch has been a source of frustration, displaying a congratulatory notification to players who achieve Master Prestige after every match. Scheduled for release on January 28, the Season 2 update aims to improve the gaming experience across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms.

Addressing the Master Prestige Issue

Among the various bug fixes included in the Season 2 patch notes from Treyarch, the resolution of the Master Prestige bug stands out prominently. Under the “Progression & Prestige”segment of the patch documentation, the developers confirmed that this issue, which has caused the “Congratulations, you’ve Mastered Prestige”screen to display repeatedly, will be effectively addressed. This irritating glitch, which has plagued players for months, even presented some users with an erroneous option to Prestige again, ultimately resulting in an error message.

This patch also includes a variety of additional quality-of-life enhancements. Players can look forward to the addition of a manual tracking feature for camo challenges in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes, a highly sought-after feature missing in the prior installment. As part of the Season 2 update, players will now have the option to track up to 10 camo and 10 calling card challenges with real-time progress visibility while engaged in gameplay.

Limited New Content for Warzone

Despite the exciting updates coming for Black Ops 6, Warzone players will have a more subdued experience in this season. Activision has acknowledged ongoing issues within Warzone and is prioritizing bug fixes alongside gameplay adjustments as part of their commitment to improving the overall experience. Thus, players can expect the introduction of a new Reactive Armor perk, a mid-season Low Profile perk, and additional Ranked Play rewards. However, the focal point for the upcoming season remains on gameplay stability and addressing community concerns.
